A native of Missouri City, Texas, Dr. Stuart Rimes graduated from John Foster Dulles High School and then attended Texas A&M University where he earned an undergraduate degree in Biology. He received his D.D.S. from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston Dental Branch.
Prior to graduation, Dr. Rimes was commissioned into the United States Air Force. Dr. Rimes then completed three years of rigorous training in the Prosthodontic Program at Wilford Hall Medical Center in San Antonio.
While there he also received a Masters of Biomedical Science in Prosthodontics at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio and lectured internationally on his research.
After completion of his training, Dr. Rimes moved to Eglin Air Force Base in Florida to fulfill his commitment to the United States Air Force.
At Eglin Dr. Rimes was twice awarded Company Grade Officer of the Year. After his promotion to Major, Dr. Rimes joined the teaching staff at Eglin and taught Advanced Education in a General Residency Program while lecturing extensively on implant restorations and esthetics to dentists all over the country. After eight years of service, Dr. Rimes has returned to Sugar Land to continue his practice of prosthodontics. He resides in Greatwood with his wife, Paula, and their two daughters, Emily and Elizabeth.
To stay current with all the advances in Dentistry, Dr. Rimes strongly believes in continued dental education. In order to further his education, he is an active member in the local Implant Study Club and belongs to various dental organizations. Dr. Rimes is a member of the American Dental Association, the American College of Prosthodontists, the Texas Dental Association, the Greater Houston Dental Society, and is nationally board certified by the American Board of Prosthodontics.
