We all have been through a lot over the past few weeks. I’m sure you are as ready as we are to resume our normal routines! We are looking forward to seeing all your smiles beginning May 1st, 2020!!! While many things have changed, and there will be “new normal” one thing has remained the same:
Our Commitment to Your Safety.
Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice. Our infection control processes are made such that when you receive care, it’s both safe and comfortable. We want to reassure you about the infection control procedures we already followed and have now added to, in our practice to keep our patients and team safe. Our office not only follows, but goes above and beyond the infection control and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). Our infection control procedures are current and surpass each agency’s recommendations.
You will see some changes when it is time for your next appointment. We have made these changes to help protect our patients and our team.
1. Social Distancing– You will notice fewer patients in the office at any given time. We have to do this for everyone’s safety! This might mean that you may be offered fewer options for appointment scheduling. We appreciate your patience and cooperation through this process.
2. Patients Only– We request that during these times, ONLY PATIENTS enter the office, unless absolutely needed. Parents can wait in their car and will get treatment updates from my team and I via phone or text! If you have a young child who needs assistance, we will not discourage you from accompanying your child, however, we request that you WEAR a MASK at all times while in the facility. We thrive on social interaction and love seeing all your family at the office, but, during this situation, we are requesting that you please leave other children and family members at home, unless they have an appointment.
3. Our Team – The team is screened every morning for symptoms of fever/cough. No team member is allowed to work if they feel unwell. Besides this, our team is more than equipped with all the Personal Protective Equipment needed to keep ourselves and our patients safe. Acquiring these items has been quite a challenge, but has all appropriate gear.
4. Reception Area – The reception area will be frequently disinfected with an appropriate disinfecting agent which meets the EPA’s criteria against SARS- CoV, that causes COVID-19. Hand sanitizer is available at the reception, for all individuals entering the office.
In conclusion, I can tell you that our team is READY to see your smiling faces and get back to work! Please ask your friends and family to come see us if they are looking for dental treatment or cleaning. We appreciate and value your trust and referrals more that you know! Remember: We are all in this together.
My Best Wishes for you and your family,
Stuart Rimes DDS,MS and Staff
